About Fares Al Soud
Fares Al Soud is the proud Member of Parliament for Mississauga Centre. He is the youngest Arab, youngest Muslim, and the first Canadian of Palestinian-origin to serve in the House of Commons. Born in Montreal to an immigrant family, he was raised with the values of resilience, and service; principles that continue to guide his work every day.
Fares holds an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto Mississauga and then continued his studies, in Public Affairs and International Relations, at the University of Ottawa. His career spans roles across the federal government and with the Canadian Red Cross, where he gained first-hand experience addressing complex challenges facing communities across Canada and around the world. That experience fuels his commitment to advocating for and delivering real, people-centered solutions.
In Parliament, Fares is one of the youngest Members serving today. He focuses on tackling the housing crisis, addressing public safety concerns, strengthening healthcare, creating good-paying jobs. He is committed to building a future where every family and young person in Mississauga Centre has the opportunity to thrive, and in which Canada is a leader on the international stage. With a bold vision and a deep connection to the community, Fares champions policies that put people first and deliver meaningful results. Mississauga Centre is his home, and its people are his top priority.
